What this site does with your data

We do not require an account, and this site sets no cookies of its own. Eclipse times are calculated in your browser.

• Your location. If you press “My location”, your browser asks for permission and gives the position to the page. It is used in your browser to calculate the eclipse and is not sent to us.
• Place search. Search terms you type are sent to OpenStreetMap's Nominatim service to find the place.
• The map. Map images are loaded from OpenStreetMap's tile servers, which receive your IP address as part of the normal web request.
• Site libraries. Code libraries are loaded from cdnjs (Cloudflare) and jsDelivr, which also receive your IP address.
• Hosting. The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which may keep standard server logs and aggregate traffic statistics.
• Contact form. If you send us a message, your name, email and message are delivered to us by Basin (usebasin.com). We use them only to reply.
• Shared links. The page address includes the coordinates of the spot you picked, so links you share point to that spot.

Affiliate links

Some links go to partners such as Booking.com, Expedia, Viator and Amazon. When you click one, that partner may set cookies so it can tell us a booking or purchase came from this site. Their own privacy policies apply on their sites. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases.

If we add analytics or anything else that collects data, we will update this page first.
