Morocco

Tangier and Tetouan are the easiest North African options, with almost 5 minutes of totality and fast ferries from Tarifa and Algeciras. The Mediterranean coast east to Al Hoceima and Nador also sees over 4 minutes.

Algeria

Oran gets over 5 minutes. Algiers sees 99.5% but no totality — the edge of the path is about 20 km away, and the centre line, with over 5 minutes, about 140 km.

Tunisia

The path's northern edge runs just off Tunisia's east coast. Sousse and Monastir see 99.6–99.7% but no totality; the edge of the path is about 15 km away. Tunis sees 96.6%.

Libya

Benghazi has one of the longest totalities on the coast, over 6 minutes, around 11:28 local time. Tripoli is a remarkable near miss: 99.97% covered, with the edge of totality only about 6 km away. Check your government's travel advice before planning a trip to Libya.
